Every consultant on our team was once exactly where you are now. Each of them worked with Francesca as a client, built their application through this same process, and got into PA school! They know firsthand what it feels like to write a personal statement, wait on interview invites, and finally hit submit. Francesca personally trains and oversees every consultant, so no matter who you work with, you get the same strategy and support that got them in.
Francesca Coughlin
Francesca is the founder of Pre-PA Consulting and a practicing PA-C in Gynecologic Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She attended Providence College for her undergraduate degree and completed her PA training at the MGH Institute of Health Professionals. What started as Francesca helping applicants one-on-one has grown into a small team of consultants, all of whom she personally trains and oversees. She brings the same focus and dedication to mentoring that she brings to patient care, and she considers it an honor to be part of each applicant’s journey to becoming a PA!

Josie Ward
Josie is currently a PA-S1 at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. She attended Colgate for her undergraduate degree and worked in an orthopedic surgery department at MGH for her clinical hours prior to PA school. Josie is becoming a PA because she is passionate about providing patient-centered care as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Having recently gone through the application process herself, she is so excited to support other PA applicants through the competitive cycle and help them achieve their goals of becoming a PA!
